Title: Affirmation from
the Depths
Carolyn's intentions were to meet
Claymore and talk with him
about the
Halloween activities. When she opened the front door, however, standing
before her was a female whom she had never seen before. Something
told
Carolyn that the woman wasn't a living one, so she asked. "Who
are
you?"
But before Natasha could give an
answer, Daniel was at the door
too.
"Natasha!" he said. "Just what are you doing here?"
Carolyn turned around at the voice of
the Captain. She wasn't
prepared
to see him here right now. When she finally did face him, she looked at
him with questioning eyes.
Daniel knew exactly what Carolyn's
thoughts were just in this moment,
so he said in a whisper, "I'll explain everything to you, but not now.
First I must find out what she wants here. Please, trust me."
"I do, Captain." Carolyn whispered
back because she was suddenly
sure
that something bad was ahead and Daniel wanted to keep it away from her
and the children. So she addressed Natasha when finally facing her
again, "Would you please come in?"
This kind request Natasha hadn't
expected. Mr. Turner had
prophesied
a jealous outburst from Mrs. Muir, but nothing came. Natasha
wanted to
provoke her but after seeing Daniel's warning glance, she didn't.
She
couldn't help but answer very richly, "Thank you." And with that
she
came in and Carolyn closed the door.
Candy, who just peeked out of the
living room door, saw Captain
Gregg
vanish with a female ghost who he seemed to know. Candy didn't know
why, but something told her that that woman had come here to take
the
Captain away from the family. "Mom!" she called with fear in her
voice.
"Yes, Candy?"
"Who was that?"
"Her name is Natasha, Candy. And I
know perfectly well what you are
thinking right now. Believe me, I don't like her either." Mrs. Muir had
a quite rotten feeling in the region of her stomach. 'Why hasn't
Daniel ever told me anything about her? Makes me wonder what kind
of
other women Daniel met when he was still alive.' A bit of
jealousy was
germinating in her but she pushed it down because something told her
that she shouldn't react that way.
"Oh, Mom. I hope she isn't here to
take the Captain away from us.
Mom,
that ghost is evil, I know it." Candy said a bit worried.
Halloween
was a strange time and anything could happen.
"Please, Candy, don't think that. You
know the Captain would
never
leave us without telling us." She tried to calm her daughter but she
wasn't quite convinced herself.
"Alright, I'll try to think the best
thing will happen. Mom,
didn't
you want to meet Claymore about the Halloween party?"
"Oh yes, Candy. Thanks for reminding
me. I'll be off. When Jonathan
and Martha get back, you should tell them about our ghostly
guest
before a catastrophe happens." and Carolyn left.
"I will, Mom, don't worry. And I'll
keep an eye on this ghostly
female." Candace called to her mother before closing the door.

Meanwhile in the attic, Daniel was
asking, "May I enquire again as to
why you are here, Natasha?" Something in his insides told
Daniel that
she had been sent by Mr. Turner to lure him to hell.
"Oh come, Daniel, why you are so
mistrustful? I only wanted to
see you
again and talk about old times. You know much fun we had with each
other when we were still alive."
"You are not here for that." Daniel
said with thunder in his
voice. "I
know perfectly well why you are here. Mr. Turner has sent you
because
he is the only who knew about you and me. Now he is trying again
to
get me away from her because he wasn't successful the last time
we
met. I am warning you, Natasha, stay away from Mrs. Muir and her
children. If you should try to hurt them in anyway, you can count on it
that I will prevent it." Daniel was in full fly. And then he
remembered Carolyn's reaction when she first saw Natasha. 'Oh
Carolyn,
I love you for that. Your reaction about Natasha -- what a fierce
look!. And I am very grateful that you didn't try to jump her at
the
throat. I knew Natasha had wished that you would have, my dear. You
have taken the wind out of her sails just magnificently.'
Now Natasha couldn't hold back any
longer. "Alright, Daniel.
I have
waited for you all these years but you didn't come. And then Mr. Turner
told me he had met you again last year on Halloween. He said you
had
refused to follow his invitation after he had shown me to you again. I
admit I was so furious about that that I had sworn revenge. I wanted to
pay it back to you this Halloween. But now I have seen Mrs. Muir
and I
must say she is a very courageous one. I have decided to set my
revenge desire aside."
"Do you really mean that, Natasha?"
Daniel wasn't quite
convinced.
"You can believe me, Daniel. I really
mean it. I could see it in her
eyes how much she loves you and you her. AH, I know Mr. Turner hates
that word." She had hardly said it, when a great thunderclap
followed.
"Daniel, please forgive me for my revenge desire," she called
before
abruptly vanishing.
"I'll forgive for that, Natasha."
Daniel called behind.
And the last was he heard from her
was, "Thank you," and then she was
gone back to hell.

Later that evening, Daniel found
Carolyn in the living room. "My
dear,
you mustn't worry any longer. Natasha is gone and she will never come
back again. And I'll everything explain to you about her later.
Not
now when the time between both our worlds is wearing thin."
"Oh Capt..., Daniel, are you really
sure of that?" she asked when
finally joining him.
"I'm very sure, Carolyn." Taking her
in his arms, he kissed her.
