Here is a little Valentine story from me.

A Somewhat Unusual Valentine Meeting by Anne

The children were in school and Martha was with Ed Peevey on a little
shopping trip to Keystone.  Carolyn and the Captain were alone in the house.
Carolyn was in the living room when a knock came at the front door. She got up
and went to see who was there. She opened the door and in front of her stood a
young lady.  Mrs. Muir was shocked, because the young woman looked like her.
How was that possible?
"Who are you?" Carolyn wanted to know.
"My name is Helena, you don't know me. You are Mrs. Muir, right?" the
young lady answered politely.
"Yes, I'm Carolyn Muir. What do you want from me? I don't understand, you
look like me. But how is this possible?"
"Don't worry, Mrs. Muir, I wouldn't want to hurt you, if that's what you
believe." Helena calmed her because she knew exactly what Carolyn thought just
at this moment. "May I come in, first? Then I will tell you why I'm here,
please."
Carolyn didn't know why but she knew she could trust the lady. "Yes,
please come in." and she thought, 'Where is Daniel?  He must heard the door
too!'
Helena came in and both went into the living room where they made
themselves comfortable. And Helena began to talk.  "First, I'm going to
apologize for my unexpected approach. But I had to come here on this
Valentine's Day."
Carolyn was curious now. "May I ask you a question, before you continue
your story?"
"Of course, you can ask me anything but..." Helena didn't finish because
she couldn't tell Mrs. Muir the real reason why she was there. She couldn't
tell her that Carolyn and she had the same ancestor.
"You look like me. Could you tell me how that's possible? Are you a...?"
Carolyn didn't continue.
"No, Mrs. Muir, I'm not a ghost.  I am a real flesh and blood person."
Mrs. Muir winced as Helena mentioned that. This expression was only too
well known to her.
The young lady noticed it. "May I tell you now why I'm here?"
    "Of course."
And Helena began to tell the Valentine's story about her ancestor. Carolyn
listened spellbound to her story. When the female had finished, Carolyn
thought. 'Poor girl!' and said, "That's terrible, Ms. Helena, but I still don't
understood what the whole thing has to do with me."
"Please, Carolyn, it has something to doing with you.  That's all I can
say to you. And now, if you will excuse me, I must go.  But before I leave, I
have something for you." Helena reached into her coat pocket and got out two
lockets. She gave both to Carolyn. "Here, take these, it's one for you and one
for Captain Gregg. I got both lockets from my ancestor and now I give them to
you and the Captain. It's a Valentine's gift from me to you
both."
Mrs. Muir was perplexed. 'How did Helena know about Daniel?' She wanted to
ask her but then she decided not to do it. She took the lockets and thanked
Helena.  Carolyn said goodbye to Helena at the door. Just as she was about to
close the door behind her, the school bus stopped and her children got out.
Candy and Jonathan were on their way to the house when they noticed the
young lady who climbed into her car.
"Candy, did you see what I saw?" the boy asked, curiously.
"Yes, Jonathan.  That lady looked like our mother. I wonder what she
wanted here?  Look, there's Mom."
Both were completely confused.  They hurried to their mother. "Mom, Mom!"
they called in their excitement. "Who was that?" Candy continued.
Carolyn was about to answer when Daniel appeared by her side. "A
remarkable young lady, my dear. She had a striking similarity to you."
Carolyn turned around and faced him. She saw a grinning Daniel. "How did
you know that?"  Then it became clear to her that he had been in the living
room all the time and had overheard every word that had been spoken. "Oh
you...!"   She turned to her kids. "Come in, children, it's a little chilly out
here."
All four were now in the living room and Candy was curious again. "Mom,
you haven't told us who that female was!"
Suddenly Jonathan remembered his strange meeting in school this morning.
But he didn't say a word about that contact. That's where he had seen this
female before.
"Please, we'll talk it about later, kids, okay?"
"Okay, Mom!" both said.  The discussion was ended with that for now.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Captain, Mom!" and with that, both were out of the
room.
Daniel and Carolyn were alone in the room now. "Oh, I have something for
you, Captain!" and she handed him the locket which Helena had given her for him.
Daniel accepted the present and both opened their lockets at the same
time. Daniel and Carolyn could hardly believe it but in the two lockets was the
same picture. It showed Carolyn and Daniel united.  Both looked at the other,
taken aback.  It became clear to them that they both had something definitely
in common with that young lady.
They put the lockets aside and went into each other's arms and it ended in
a long lasting kiss.
